A recent Lotterywest grant includes 10 mobile observation towers to improve visibility and surveillance for lifeguards around the state.

Millions of people visit WA beaches each year and SLSWA’s 20,000 members are on hand to make sure everyone has a fun and safe day out.

A recent Lotterywest grant includes 10 mobile observation towers to improve visibility and surveillance for lifeguards around the state.

The surf lifesaving mantra of “if we can’t see you, we can’t save you” is a message that has been shared with the community for many years, and these towers will help teams across WA with the ability to see, and save, more people.

In the 2017-2018 financial year, $260 million was given back to WA communities, including almost $900,000 to SLSWA to support the growth and retention of surf lifesaving volunteers, and 10 mobile Observation Towers which will improve visibility and surveillance of the beach for lifeguards.

By playing Lotterywest games, you get to help your dreams, and the dreams of organisations like Surf Life Saving WA, come to life.

This giving spreads out to make an already great lifestyle in this state, greater.
