Rebound removes disability barriers

Rebound WA, formerly known as Wheelchair Sports WA Association, has stripped their name in favour of a title that more actively represents its work.

It is one of the largest disability recreation and sporting groups in Australia with more than 580 members and has been helping Western Australians living with disability to ‘rebound from adversity’.

With more than 60 years’ experience, Rebound WA assists Western Australians living with disability to lead fuller, more active and connected lives by removing barriers and helping find participation opportunities.

Whilst members are involved in a range of sporting activities such as basketball, rugby, athletics and tennis, 65 per cent of the organisation’s overall activity is in the ever-expanding areas of social inclusion, education, and recreation - making its new name a better match.

By playing Lotterywest games, you have helped give more than $200,000 towards professional fees and IT infrastructure to help Rebound WA rebrand and support the physical and social activity for people living with disability. They have also recently bought a new van and trailer to support their 'Wheel Life' program.

You live in a dream state and it’s all yours for the taking.
