Comfort Quilts Against Cancer are wrapping cancer patients around WA in warmth and comfort thanks to their handmade quilts and blankets.

Comfort Quilts Against Cancer Founder
The organisation’s founder Bronwyn says the quilts are used to remind patients they’re not alone in this world.
Comfort Quilts Against Cancer have handed out more than 1,000 quilts to support people going through cancer treatment.
“By buying a Lotto ticket, you help small charities like us purchase much needed equipment to be able to make these quilts and send them out to people going through cancer treatment,” she said.
“That’s a lot of work, a lot of love and a lot of people who have got quilts.”
By playing Lotterywest games, you’ve helped support Comfort Quilts Against Cancer with a $30,000 grant towards quilting and sewing equipment to allow volunteers to create quilts for people going through cancer treatment around WA.
One recipient said the package was a complete surprise.
“I got this package and opened it up and I had this gorgeous quilt, beanie and a scarf and it just, it made me cry,” she said.
In the 2018-19 financial year, almost $282 million was given back to the WA community to support organisations like Comfort Quilts Against Cancer, making this already great state, greater.
