The 2020 event will showcase Hansel and Gretel, a much loved childhood favourite of many around the state.

West Australian Opera aims to make opera relevant and accessible for all Western Australians.

The organisation holds free events throughout the year, including their annual Opera in the Park at the Supreme Court Gardens.

By playing Lotterywest games, you've brought the 2020 Opera in the Park event to life with a $250,000 grant towards staging, performance and equipment hire.

The 2020 event showcased Hansel and Gretel, a much loved childhood favourite of many around the state.

Lotterywest’s grant also supported a performance of The Nightingale for young people with disability. The performance was designed to ensure it’s accessible for those who are sensitive to sensory variance.

In the 2018-19 financial year, almost $282 million was given back to the WA community, to make this already great state, greater.
