Dive into Port Coogee
Artificial reefs, dive trails and shipwrecks, it sounds like a scene from a movie, but it’s in fact a creation at Port Coogee thanks to the City of Cockburn.
Just 25 metres from the shore, the trail features a purpose-built reef that supports a diverse range of aquatic flora, corals and healthy schools of fish and sea life.
The 200 metre snorkel and dive trail supports a protected marine habitat for research, educational opportunities for schools, recreational dive clubs and university marine science faculties.

Snorkelers and divers will also find underwater art sculptures and informational plaques about the Omeo shipwreck, maritime history and aquatic life in the area.
By simply playing, you've helped give a $78,000 grant towards the construction of the reef to create a snorkel and dive trail, as well as a land-based trail featuring historical artefacts and interpretive signage.
