A home for every cat!

Cat Haven is WA’s largest shelter for homeless, lost and abused cats, taking in 7,000 to 9,000 cats and kittens every year.

The Cat Welfare Society Inc (also known as the Cat Haven, located in Shenton Park) has been providing welfare and wellbeing to cats in need, for over 60 years in the WA community.

In recent times, the Cat Haven has experienced a surge in both the number of pet surrenders and calls for rescue. To assist, a $105,835 Lotterywest grant went towards the purchase, installation and fit out of a transportable office building to support volunteer activities in the rescue and rehoming of homeless and lost cats. With over 700 members, 55 staff and 71 volunteers, the expansion of office facilities has enabled additional volunteers to work at any given time, and has provided a meeting space for adoption interviews, volunteer training and organisational meetings.

By simply playing, you've helped Cat Haven to provide welfare and wellbeing to cats in need, just like Peggy, who has been given a second chance at life.
